Thanks for the notes,
I created a package keeping in mind all the above notes but it encounters a
problem when I added the sed script modification as you suggested in order to
pass the CFLAGS.
The binary which is installed from the package built with Fedora CFLAGS does
not load the guile interactive mode while it does without it.
I will be investigating the issue to see what is causing the problem but would
like your take on the matter as well.

You can see the issue for yourself by installing from release 3 (which uses the
CFLAGS) while release 2 (does not)
