KDE4 is taking over GNOME settings...

I did a quick test now and installed KDE4 again and renamed my ~/.config
~/.local ~/.cache and ~/.mozilla directories and indeed KDE did not
"steal" the associations in Places menu but Firefox settings were still
taken over - KTorrent is set as default instead of Transmission to
open .torrent files. "Open Containing Folder" and "Open" in the
downloads window of Firefox works ok.
