Greetings Red Hat Partners,
We are pleased to announce the General Availability of an updated Red
Hat Hardware Catalog. The updated Red Hat Hardware Catalog *is*
considered an official release and should be used for official
certification submissions for both Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x and 6.x.
The updated Red Hat Hardware Catalog is available at the official location:
https://hardware.redhat.com/
Highlights of the updated Hardware Catalog include:
* Support for system makes in friendly URLs. Our hardware catalog
divides system model names into vendor, make, and model fields. For
example, on a system named "Supercompany Myserver 1600", The vendor is
Supercompany, the make is Myserver, and the model is 1600. This new
feature allows you to search for the make of a system directly in the
URL. For example:
https://hardware.redhat.com/HP/Proliant
https://hardware.redhat.com/Dell/PowerEdge/RHEL6
https://hardware.redhat.com/RHEL5/Altix
* Friendly URLs will remain in the URL bar in most browsers after the
page is loaded.
* Makes now appear in a dropdown box on the certification workflow. New
makes may be added by selecting the "Add New Make" radio button in a
certification.
* Vendors may now open new pass-through certification requests without
contacting support. A Pass-Through tab appears on all completed
certifications.
* Pass-through certifications requiring Supplemental certifications may
now use a single "Pass-Through with Supplemental" certification,
avoiding the need to open a third certification.
* Adding users with hwcert-enter permissions to the cc: list of a
certification will allow that user access to update the certification.
The cc: list can be found through the Bugzilla interface.
* Opening new certifications can be done from the v7 test suite 'submit'
command (Requires v7-1.5-32 or later).
* Uploading new results to existing certifications can be done from the
v7 test suite 'submit' command (Requires v7-1.5-32 or later.)
* Infiniband test results are now displayed in the results section.
* Wlan test results are now displayed in the results section.
* Additional attachments embedded in the xml.gz results format are now
shown on the results section.
* SOS reports now show their original file name in the results section.
* The Hardware Catalog home page now shows links for MRG Realtime
certifications.
* Other minor bug fixes/features outlined in the change log below.
If you encounter any problems or have any comments regarding the updated
Red Hat Hardware Catalog, please file bugs against the 'Red Hat Hardware
