Greetings Red Hat Partners,
We are pleased to announce the availability of an updated Red Hat
Hardware Catalog at https://hardware.redhat.com.
This update to the Red Hat Hardware Catalog is an official release and
should be used for official Red Hat Hardware Certification test
submissions. Highlights of the Hardware Catalog include:
* The list view now displays all of a model's certifications for a Red
Hat product on a single line. This allows for more information to be
displayed in less space while increasing legibility and comprehension.
For example, if a system is certified for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5,
64-bit, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 32-bit and 64-bit, all of that
information will appear on a single line in the catalog.
* Friendly URLs now support the "RHEL", "SYSTEMS", and "COMPONENTS"
keywords. For example, this URL shows all the systems certified to run
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, 5, and 6:
https://hardware.redhat.com/RHEL/SYSTEMS
The keywords can be presented in any order and will return the same
results. For example, both of these URLs show all the components offered
by HP that are certified on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4:
https://hardware.redhat.com/HP/components/RHEL4
https://hardware.redhat.com/rhel4/hp/components
* The "Browse Certifications" menu on the main page is now simplified to
include links to Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems, Red Hat Enterprise
Linux Components, and MRG Systems. The previous "list by Red Hat
Enterprise Linux version" views are still available using friendly URLs
for those who need them. For example,
https://hardware.redhat.com/RHEL6/SYSTEMS
would generate the same results as clicking on the old "Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6 Systems" link.
* The Quick Search is updated to better address partial matches. In the
old catalog, searching for "710" only finds six products. The updated
version of the catalog returns nineteen products.
* The field layout is updated on the create new certification view,
which is used by vendors, and the certification details view, which is
used by vendors and customers. All the same information is present, it's
just been rearranged to make it easier to read.
* Advanced tab replaces Pass-Through tab on the create new certification
view.
* A "Create new layered product certification" request is added to the
"Advanced" tab. This is where MRG Realtime certification is requested.
Previously, MRG Realtime submissions had to be processed manually by
emailing results files to your TAM. Note: in accordance with the Red Hat
Hardware Certification Policies the Red Hat Enterprise Linux
certification must be complete before the MRG Realtime certification can
begin.
* The left-hand navigation menu style now matches that of
http://www.redhat.com.
* Other minor bug fixes/features outlined in the change log below.
If you encounter any problems or have any comments regarding this
release of the Red Hat Hardware Catalog, please file bugs against the
'Red Hat Hardware Certification Program' product in Red Hat Bugzilla
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com).
