Greetings Red Hat Partners,

We are pleased to announce official support of 50Gb/s and 100Gb/s
Ethernet in Red Hat Enterprise Linux hardware certification for both
RHEL 6.x and RHEL 7.x. The latest release of the Red Hat Certification
Test Suite will move the tests for 50 and 100 gigabit Ethernet out of
preview and into a fully-supported state.

Full certification of 50Gb/s and 100Gb/s capable ethernet components
may be achieved today.

A transition period is being provided for systems with optional 50Gb/s
and 100Gb/s Ethernet adapters where testing of these features will not
be required until September 9th 2016. During this period systems with
untested adapters will include a knowledge base entry for customer
clarity. Any knowledgebase entries associated to system certifications
may later be updated by a supplemental certification covering the
missing testing for these features.

The 50GigEthernet and 100GigEthernet tests are now part of the regular
test package, but they will display a 'preview' label when viewed in
redhat-certification WebUI until the next update of the
redhat-certification-hardware test suite package. The policy guide
will also be updated to include these new features and tests in the
Ethernet adapter requirements.

Red Hat values your ongoing participation in Red Hat software
development, testing, and certification efforts. Thank you for your
continued partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please
do not hesitate to contact your Partner Manager or Engineering Account
Manager.

Regards,

The Red Hat Certification Team
