[Hwcert-announce-list] Red Hat Certification 2.7, Test Suite Updates, and Updated Certification Workflow Site Available

Greetings Red Hat Partners,

We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of updated
Red Hat Certification 2.7 and associated Test Suite package updates
(listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an
official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification
submissions. Passing results from the previous certification test
suite (redhat-certification-2.6-20160701) will continue to be accepted
for a period of 90 days.

Highlights of the updated packages:

redhat-certification/redhat-certification-backend 2.7

 * Web UI OpenStack certification survey improvements
 * Fixed a bug where multiple devices for the same test were being run
when only one was selected.
 * The debug checkbox has been fixed (passes --debug=info to test runs
when checked)


redhat-certification-hardware-1.7.7/1.6.7:

 * The 100GigEthernet and 50GigEthernet tests are now in the
redhat-certification-hardware package, moved from the preview package.
   * As described in the separate announcement these tests will
display a preview label in the WebUI.
 * Updated log statements to be more precise in the info test when
kernel is tainted via a module and that module is in the whitelist
 * Added/fixed fingerprint reader test in the preview package


redhat-certification-openstack-1.5.0:

 * Added a RHOSP version check based on repos on partner systems
 * Added v2 as the default api for LBAAS
 * Added new APIs to support neutron and cinder


Certification Workflow Site

 * Improve/simplify the creation of hardware supplemental certifications
 * Limit the component view in a supplemental certification on the
review tab to the additional components added in the supplement
 * Update "Specification Document" label to "Other Document" to
indicate that additional documents may also be uploaded
 * Enable "Create Specification only" option for hardware vendors
using SSO account login
 * Add "Dry-Run (Private)" as a certification classification
 * The vendor list on the landing page had many errors so it was removed
 * OpenStack plug-in certification common question improvement
 * Disable creating new RHEL OSP 5,6 & 7 plug-in certifications as the
certification window for these is closed
 * Add the link to user guide and policy guides for all certifications
in the left hand navigation
 * Fixed an error when an SSO account is not a vendor member
 * Fixed Bugzilla xmlrpc error when setting needinfo on an SSO account
 * Fixed an error where RHOSP certs would change from 8 to 9 or 7 to 9
erroneously

some users who are used to using the old ‘Red Hat Hardware
Certification Program’ product.
