Greetings Red Hat Partners,

At the launch of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.0, we are introducing two
updates to the Red Hat Certification catalog:

1. Supported feature listing for hardware certifications
We are making more information about certified systems and components
available to the general public beginning with items certified for
RHEL 8.0. Supported feature information will be available both on the
hardware search screen, where catalog users will be able to search for
specific feature support (100 gigabit Ethernet, FCoE, PCIe NVMe, etc.)
in addition to vendor and system name, and in the detail view of a
specific system or component. Searching for RHEL 8 systems with 100
gigabit Ethernet support, for example, will return only the hardware
that supports that feature. Clicking on a system returned by that
search will show all the features it offers, including 100 gigabit
Ethernet, and the supported/unsupported status for the other features.

2. New Cloud Instance Type certification introduced
We are introducing a new type of hardware certification called Cloud
Instance Type certification. Cloud Instance Type certification is used
to certify the hardware, either physical or virtual, that is presented
to users in certain cloud offerings from our Certified Cloud and
Service Provider partners.

If you have any questions or comments about either supported feature
listing or the new Cloud Instance Type certification, please do not
hesitate to contact your partner manager or engineering account
manager.

Regards,

The Red Hat Certification Team
