Sorry I have't wikied yet.  I used yellowdog and debian both.  Yellowdog 
was easier to install (it does a lot by default).  I noticed no 
performance hit in using a "bloated" distro (yellowdog) over debian.

I'll try to wiki all my mac thick client experiences this week.  I'll 
really try.  Really.
