See my reply to myself.  Also, I am linking to 
/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_04/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so version, so perhaps this will work for you.

Mozilla for me is installed in /usr/lib/mozilla
