This is *not* a good idea, but it is fun ;-)
I've done this on a few systems (K12LTSP 3.1.2, not K12LTSP 4.0.1)
without a problem, but your milage may vary. Have good backups...
edit /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources, and uncomment the line:
apt arjan-2.6-kernel-i386 http://people.redhat.com ~arjanv/2.5/ kernel
you should now be able to run this command to install a 2.6 + all of
the needed utilities:
up2date -i -f kernel
