I successfully booted a more recent laptop, so I don't think the
problem is something as silly as yaboot and friends being missing (but
I did check /opt/ppc and /tftpboot for stuff that I thought should be
there). I'm reasonably sure that I've got the right stuff installed.
I did do another "yum update" to make sure I had the latest and
greatest. The Open Firmware incantation yields

/pci/mac-io/ethernet:192.168.0.254:-1,yaboot.conf: Unknown or corrupt filesystem

Can't open config file.

Oh! Is it upset because thtis machine has no MacOS but instead has
some version of Linux installed on the hard drive? I bet that's it.
Does tfpt try to copy stuff to the hard drive or something?
