Jim Here are some notes on using weirdx on os9 to hook to ltsp server..

  begin with the instructions at
http://www.macorchard.com/summer/server.html#WeirdX
sn9 where it tells you to download the WeirdX .jar file, make sure you get
version 1.0.31, and not the version 1.0.32 that it links to.
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/weirdx/weirdx-1.0.31.jar?download

sn9 in the second set of steps, after step 3 but before step 4, click on
the Properties icon and enter the following:
sn9 Name: weirdx.xdmcp.mode Value: query
sn9 Name: weirdx.xdmcp.address Value: 10.0.0.254 (or whatever)
sn9 Name: weirdx.display.acl Value: +10.0.0.254 (or whatever)
sn9 Name: weirdx.display.threebutton Value: yes (possibly optional --
haven't tried without it)

it may also be worth mentioning that i also tried MI/X in addition to
WeirdX, but they never implemented XDMCP, so it wasn't suitable, although
it would have been vastly superior because it's native rather than Java
although it may be possible to use MI/X when tunneled over MacSSH because
XDMCP wouldn't be involved near as i can tell

looks like the acl property can be set to simply "+"
sn9 the threebutton property is indeed not needed, and things work faster
without it
sn9 all three mouse buttons work with a one-button mouse as expected
sn9 opt-click is middle-click and cmd-click is right-click, just like in
Apple's X11 for
OSX
