[K12OSN] Dell Client boot trouble - NEWBIE

Hello Kevin,

I had a very similar problem, trying to boot certain dell's with onboard
nics. Even though they are PXE compliant, LTSP server seems to have
probs with some of these onboard nics.
DO this to rule out a couple things. Find you any old( could even be a
pentium box) to use as a thin client that has a working floppy drive.
Slap a 3com or intel nic in it.
Build the universal boot floppy that is located in the 
/tftpboot/lts/boot/bootroms
directory.
This will narrow down for sure that it is actually a server config prob.
The Dells i had that acted like this WOULD get an ip address then would
choke ending up with a kernel panic.
If this client does boot then you know it is the dell client that is
making you scratch your head:).Im guessing the MAC you are trying to
boot is just not booting correctly as well especially if you don't
enter:
boot enet:serveripaddress, yaboot
from the openfirmware commandline.
( Notice the "yaboot", after server ip address.)
