The last time I saw this error, just the other day, the solution was to
put the host name of the client in the /etc/hosts file--just as the text
above describes in option 2. Once this was done the client completed
it's loading process.
My setup for an Intro to Unix/Linux class is a Dell Poweredge 4400 with
dual 933 MHz processors, with 1 Gig of RAM and over 120 gigs of hard
drive space--utilizing hardware Raid 5.
