serial console output

I've discovered if we remove the

   terminal --timeout=2 console serial

line in grub.conf, all *grub* messages will go to both ttyS0 and tty0.

But still don't have ideas for how to get the messages after the
"Welcome to RedHat Linux..." line to show up.
