Thanks.. I think I just got it working a couple of minutes ago..

Try 'qdiskd -fd' and see what it tells you?

In the current release as of 4.4, there are a number of things qdiskd
doesn't wait around for - e.g. cman running, for example.  In the 4.5
release, this will be fixed.
