GNU Compiler - Lost gcc296 file

Hi

Please help....I've mistakenly overwritten file gcc296 in /usr/lib
I don't have any backup of those FS and don't know how to recover it.
Do we need to reinstall just the GNU package or can we download this onto
any site

Please advise...and help
