Hi All,

I have installed the Linux 7.3 on a Dell 4 CPU server and run the up2date to
install the latest patches and the SMP kernel, But now If I run the
following command it gives an error message "Not an SMP Machine" How do I
tell Linux that this is a 4 CPU system and I want to use all the 4 CPU's

$mpstat -P -ALL
Not an SMP Machine....

$uname -a
Linux 2.4.18-3

Any help on this will be highly appreciated

Thanks,
Sanjeev Aggarwal
