kernel removal

hi,
i have wrongly installed kernel-smp-2.6.9-1.3_FC2.i686 on Fedora Core 1. 
how do i remove the newly installed not usable kernel from my system?
can i use rpm -e?? if so could you please tell me the procedure?
i also want to install kernel 2.6 on my FC1. i dont see one with the
fedora site. is it safe to install the one tht is available in
kernel.org.
