IMAP + IMO

Hello People,

My IMAP isn´t  authetication the users. Come this message, in test.php of 
IMP.

"Server disables LOGIN, no recognized SASL authenticator"

I´m using  imap2004-g, started by  xinetd, in Fedora Core 3.

Other thing, the module Log of pear is insataled but in test.php of IMP, 
show No.


Why the imap is using the SASL autheticator ?
How i can to resolve it ?
