Most likely there isn't enough space on the disk and using the Windows
partition (NTFS) isn't supported. The file system must be EXT2, EXT3 or
a JFS to work.

But I'm not sure I understand completely what you are trying. Are you
wanting a dual boot system or are you replacing Vista completely. If you
are replacing Vista, don't use Fedora 8, use the lastest release found
here:
