backups/restores

I'm currently in the process of replacing an older network monitor running
AIX with a box running RedHat.  I'm looking for the easiest way to perform
backups/restores for the box.  I am very familiar with AIX's mksysb &
restore - is there anything similar or as easy to use on RedHat?
