# md5sum -b rhel-3-U1-i386-es-disc1.iso

This matches.
The error message I get is:
"No Red Hat Enterprise Linux CD was found that matches your boot media."
I used cdrecord to burn the ISO:
# cdrecord -v speed=2 dev=0,1,0 rhel-3-U1-i386-es-disc1.iso
