How do I add a network route permanently using "route add" command in linux.

Hi
You can make an entry in /etc/rc.conf file as
route add -net 0.0.0.0 netmask 0.0.0.0 gw 172.22.40.1 dev eth0
It will take this configuration when system boots up .
