To Determine System Configuration - (No of CPUs, their speed, RAM, No of Hard disks, their capacity)

If you do need just the information about hardware, without the pretty
printing or displaying it via webserver, etc. than you can find a lot of
information about hardware in the (pseudo-) files in /proc filesystem -
processor information in /etc/cpuinfo, physical and virtual memory size
and usage in /proc/meminfo, etc.
