[rhelv6-beta-list] Display switches to secondary VGA

Hi,

When installing (or booting after an install) RHEL6b2 (and F13 etc.)
on an IBM SurePOS 566 system, the attached display is not working
at all, only for basic text mode, and after the HW probing the
output is redirected to the secondary VGA port (I have a monitor
connected to that now).

When I specify the "nomodeset" kernel parameter, the switching does
not happen, but then graphics mode does not work at all.

Anyone having a suggestion how to solve this? Also, when I want
to file a bug, against which component should I do this?

Some details:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82Q35 Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: Intel Corporation 82Q35 Express Integrated Graphics Controller
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 27
        Memory at fde80000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512K]
        I/O ports at ff00 [size=8]
        Memory at d0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
        Memory at fd900000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=1M]
        Expansion ROM at <unassigned> [disabled]
        Capabilities: [90] MSI: Enable+ Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit-
Capabilities: [d0] Power Management version 2
        Kernel driver in use: i915
        Kernel modules: i915

00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation 82Q35 Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02)
        Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device 29b2
        Flags: fast devsel
        Memory at fdf00000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [disabled] [size=512K]
Capabilities: [d0] Power Management version 2

There are several kernel messages listed like these, followed by hexdata:

[drm:drm_edid_block_valid] *ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid, remainder is 226
[drm:drm_edid_block_valid] *ERROR* Raw EDID:

P.S.
IBM docs say they support SLES, even with two displays, so there
*should* be a way to get this working on Linux...

Thanks,
