Hasn't this changed a while back?  I thought there is a setting that has to
be disabled to allow a module to be introduced with an updated kernel with
a newer revision number.



mechanism so they can be reused without issues after kernel upgrades. Which
is the core point of the whole storyAnd kmod packages can be integrated in
driver disks with a tiny bit of work.
