I am using RHEL WS 4 AMD64/EMT64 and have the same problem, 
particulaioly with mozilla:

mozilla-1.4.3-3.0.7 requires mozilla-nspr = 37:1.4.3-3.0.7
mozilla-1.4.3-3.0.7 requires mozilla-nss = 37:1.4.3-3.07

What up2date claims to want to install are 1.7.3-19.EL4 ...
