[rhn-users] RE: winbind problem - in fact SELinux-targeted policy bug

I found that this is possibly a bug in the selinux-targeted
package, but I have the latest version (110) and still have
this problem. Oddly I have another box running RHEL WS 4,
which I installed yesterday, without any problems like this.

Any experts on selinux out there?

TIA

WRT my original email below, I find that if I
disable SELinux the problem goes away.

Does this make sense to anyone?

-----------

I am running RHEL WS 4, kernel 2.6.9-22.
Latest updates are installed.
I am trying to set up winbind with ADS authentication.
I find I can manually start winbindd no problem by
running the executable, but if I try to do it via

service winbind restart

the command fails (even though I get a green OK) and
the following error appears in /var/log/samba/winbindd.log

[2005/10/12 13:08:32, 0] passdb/secrets.c:secrets_init(64)
  Failed to open /etc/samba/secrets.tdb
[2005/10/12 13:08:32, 0] nsswitch/winbindd.c:main(881)
Could not initialize domain trust account secrets. Giving up

Does anyone have an idea of what might be going wrong here?

TIA
