Edward, I am not positive what you are asking but can't you just swap the
cables from eth1 and plug it into eth0?
If not you can edit the files /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1
They might look something like this
# Intel Corp.|82541EI Gigabit Ethernet Controller
DEVICE=eth0
ONBOOT=yes
BOOTPROTO=static
TYPE=Ethernet
HWADDR=55:11:99:Y6:6E:8B
IPADDR=192.168.1.99
GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
USERCTL=no
PEERDNS=no

Just change the device name, IP and other settings to match your setup.  You
might want to either remove or comment out the hwaddr line if you are still
having issues.
