This usually happens when your server is not accessible by the client.
Few things to check,
* Is your server url right and accessible.
* make sure if iptables is running, its has holes for xmlrpc traffic to
get in or if you don't care much disable it.
* Is apache is running successfully for the call to pass through the mod
python layer
* tail your /var/log/httpd/access_log on the server when the rhnreg_ks
is running and see if the traffic is atleast getting to the server.
Hope one of these might help. I'm guessing iptables is jus blocking your
communication.
