[Spacewalk-list] Scripts run before updates?

Is it by design that arbitrary scripts are run before updates to files
or packages? For example, I've decided to push back the rhnsd interval
back up to 60 from the 15 I thought was going to be a good idea. The
/etc/sysconfig/rhn/rhnsd conf file is in spacewalk naturally. So I make
my revision and push the file to all nodes and schedule it for immediate
delivery. Next I select all servers in the SSM and schedule
"/sbin/service rhnsd restart".

When the nodes phone home, they always run the script first, then update
the file. In this case it does me no good short of scheduling out the
script to be interval+1.

I'm not running OSAD, I've had issues getting jabber to work, so I'm
leaving that for a rainy day.
