[Spacewalk-list] I dont understand how it should work :-) - Part two

Hey,

while playing around with my spacewalk 1.0 setup and some centos
servers, I got more questions:

I launched 'rhn-profile-sync' on a test server so the package list
should be up to date.

Than I executed 'yum update' and a new kernel-xen and -header package
shows up from my 'centos5-updates-x86_64' repository.

Looking on my spacewalkserver, my test server shows up with seven (7)
new packages in the overview list and with a lot more old packages in
the system software page.

I attached some screenshots for better explanation. I hope that's o.k!?

My questions:

* Why do only the kernel packages shows up by running yum update?

* Why do other packages too show up in spacewalk?

* Why do the old packages show up?

* How may I remove the old packages from my spacewalk server?

Thanks and best regards,

	Götz
