Indeed, this is a good point.  I was wondering about that too.  Are there any 
limitations/drawbacks why this would not be appropriate?

I'm thinking at least it should be possible for Spacwalk to generate a 
bootstrap script (maybe in Python to use Yum directly) for completely new 
clients which gets what it needs from Spacewalk server.  Thoughts?
