I'd be interested in knowing this too. Right now, I have a post script that sets the real hostname, runs rhn-profile-sync and then uses spacecmd to set the hostname as well. It's kind of a kludge, but it works.

Subject: [Spacewalk-list] How to edit kickstart file

Hi Guys !
Just wanted to ask if I need to modify the basic kickstart profile that is generated by the SW, what is the procedure for that? The reason I am asking it is because I need to change the client hostname before it gets registered to the SW. What I did is that I wrote a post script which does that but unfortunately one of the lines in the pre-built script gets fired before my scripts comes into play.

Any ideas?
Thanks
