[Spacewalk-list] Migrating a Spacewalk server from physical to virtual

Can you do a fresh install/data migration?  This way you can place the Oracle DB on a separate VM.  Just a thought...

I’m running Spacewalk 2.0 on Oracle Linux 6.4 with an Oracle database on physical hardware.

I need to do a P2V migration to VMware.  The IP will remain the same but I need to change the name of the server.

I know how to do a simple name change on the server itself but I’m not so sure about Spacewalk and the supporting components.

So I’m looking for some guidance on where all in Spacewalk/Apache/Cobbler/Oracle DB/Whatever that I need to be aware of to change the name successfully.
What about registered clients?
