[Spacewalk-list] Added servers not showing updates in UI without master server restart

Hi Spacewalkers,

I was just wondering if anyone has come across a similar problem:

After I register a new server (that requires updates) to our Spacewalk
instance (either direct or through a proxy), the UI shows that it is fully
up to date and that no package upgrades are required. This persists even
through rhn_check(s) and rhn-profile-sync being run on the client servers.

The only way that this seems to resolve itself is through a full restart of
the Spacewalk master.

Though, if I run a yum update on the client, all the updates will come
through correctly.

This started happening after I ran pgtune on the postgresql DB and applied
the optimized settings as follows:

maintenance_work_mem = 704MB
effective_cache_size = 8GB
work_mem = 18MB
wal_buffers = 16MB
shared_buffers = 2816MB
default_statistics_target = 100
checkpoint_segments = 32

I also enabled autovacuum with the default settings.

Has anyone else experienced these issues and/or found a fix?

Thanks!
