[Spacewalk-list] Jabberd continuously corrupted on Spacewalk Proxy?

I have a Spacewalk proxy which had been running fine for over a year,
running version 2.2. Occasionally, I'd find that systems failed to connect
to the jabber database on the proxy. I would do the recommended fix of
"rhn-proxy stop ; rm -rf /var/lib/jabberd/db/* ; rhn-proxy start, which
would get things going again for a few weeks\months. Now, the database
appears to be corrupted minutes after doing this. To make matters worse,
when a system connected to this proxy reboots, and it can't connect to the
jabber server during startup, osad simply hangs, and no other init scripts
start.

I have even gone so far as to yum remove all spacewalk packages from the
Spacewalk proxy, and re-installing. I get the same behavior, it works for a
few minutes, then systems simply hang trying to connect. The only error I
can see so far are segfaults with the sm service, but not sure what other
course of action I have if reinstalling the spacewalk-proxy-installer
package and re-running configure_proxy.sh don't resolve the issue. Could
there be a bug with another OS related package causing the segfault? Any
input appreciated.
