L.S.,

I'm in the process of rebuilding RPMforge packages for Fedora Core 2
on alpha.

The RPMforge project is a collaboration of several repositories. At
this moment, the participating packagers are Dag, Dries, Matthias
(freshrpms) and me. The aim of RPMforge is to provide packages for
various RPM-based distributions and a multitude of architectures
(x86, AMD64, alpha, ppc and sparc).

You can find the current (yum-enabled) package set at
http://apt.sw.be/bert/fedora/2/alpha/bert/

regards,
Bert.

PS. if yum doesn't work on your alpha, have a look at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=122304 ,
and apply Seth's patch to /usr/lib/python2.3/encodings/idna.py
