problemas con Tarjeta de SOnido AC97

Hola Lista,
   alguien tiene alguna idea que puede ser.

Al arrancar mi maquina me dice el siguiente error relacionado con la
tarjeta de Sonido

device /dev/dsp can't be opened (No such device)
The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

Tengo una tarjeta de Sonido AC97  con FC2, el sistema me detecta la
tarjeta de la siguiente manera
0 [V8233          ]: VIA8233 - VIA 8233
                     VIA 8233 at 0xe800, irq 5
