I guess getting GPS position fixes from some GPS device into the computer and
then distributed to local applications via gpsd or gypsy is an issue mostly
orthogonal to a navit review.
As far as I can tell, setting up permissions for GPS devices and running gpsd
is still a manual task on Fedora:

So testing navit with gpsd might need manual work right now, but the existence
of a navit package will make development of a plug and play gpsd solution so
much more attractive that it will probably happen by itself :)
