[Hwcert-announce-list] Red Hat Certification 2.8, Test Suite Updates, and Updated Certification Workflow Site Available

Greetings Red Hat Partners,

We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of updated
Red Hat Certification 2.8 and associated Test Suite package updates
(listed below).  This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an
official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification
submissions. Successful Test results from the previous certification
test suite (redhat-certification-2.7-20160725) will be accepted for a
period of 90 days.

Highlights of the updated packages:

redhat-certification/redhat-certification-backend 2.8

 * Improved Web UI for showing sub-tests/results roll-up
 * The redhat-certification-backend package now requires the
redhat-certification-information package.
 * Fixed the number of tests reported by the "rhcert-backend plan" command.

redhat-certification-hardware-1.7.8/1.6.8:
 * Updated fv_* tests to support RHEL 7.3 pre-releases
 * Enabled 7.3 hardware certifications in redhat-certification
 * Improved wifi tests when multiple devices using the same driver are detected

 * Initial support for upcoming RHEL 7.3
 * Enabled automatic support of the latest test suite errata upon release
 * Enabled supplying the cloud image name to the Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog.
 * Added support for CCSP cloud image certification workflow queues
 * Now allows the selection of the RHEL minor version when opening a
RHEL hardware certification
 * Fixed a bug where cloud certs were incorrectly labeled certified
 * Disabled RHEL OSP 5, 6, 7 layered certifications for RHEL 7 server
certifications.

(https://bugzilla.redhat.com). Note that this may be a change from
some users who are used to using the old "Red Hat Hardware
Certification Program" product.
