[rhn-users] core dump when system crashes with kernel panic

How do I configure to get a core dump (vmcore) when there is a system crash with 
kernel panic?  
I tried using netdump which is a pretty simple procedure:
1. configured netdump-server
2. configured netdump client

But when I tried to simulate a crash, I get an empty file vmcore.incomplete on 
the server.

Is there a better way to get core dump rather than using netdump, like lkcd?  
Although, I am not sure if lkcd is supported on RedHat.
