First it failed, asserting that it couldn't find the repomod.xml for the new channel. So I renamed /etc/yum.repos.d/Centos-Base.repo. Failed again. Finally, I restarted osad on the client, and everything on the server. What I got was that it had failed, because of rpm conflicts.
Spacewalk does *NOT* use the Centos*.repo files or any file in
/etc/yum.repos.d/. Sounds like the repomd.xml file it is looking for is
the one that Spacewalk generates for a channel which we represent to
the clients.
And what failed? errors would be helpful in debugging your problem.
