Hello Tomas,
thank you for the tip. But that also did not work. Only removing and
re-registering the "client" seems to fix this problem "right now". Have to
dive into this further (when I have enough time).

Robert

server within Spacewalk 2.4
Hello,
I'd suggest re-registration using reactivation key, you need provisioning
entitlement for server you want to re-register. The server will keep it's
history, assigned channels etc. but initial information will get resend
(this most likely includes also information about "type" of the system,
although I am not 100% sure at the moment).

Hi all,
I have several systems registered as physical servers within Spacewalk
2.4. Now, some of them have been virtualized. But running
"rhn-profile-sync" or scheduling a "hardware refresh" does not "reset" the
server "type".
The "hardware" seems to be get updated correctly within the WebUI, but is
still listed as physical system.
Any hints?
Kind regards,
Robert
