i did dump the rom to a file and tried it, in the end it didn't fix the 
issues.
once the vm has started with the nvidia drivers and you turn it off your 
toast and only "fix" is to power off host completely and on again.
if not, the host will lockup or if you are really lucky the vm will just 
have issues and not work properly

i'm pretty sure i looked there for a uefi rom and didn't find anything.

right, with a quadro card virt-managers built in display also will work 
for boot and then once booted the physical card takes over.

then the question is, do those cards also have uefi support so i can get 
rid of the vgaarb patch.

i'm not going to do any heavy gfx stuff, i'll probably just use steams 
game streaming on the vm.
